Island Health has issued this Request for Proposals for the purpose of selecting a qualified prime consultant to lead and deliver an integrated Site Master Plan for the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital campus and a Concept Plan for a new inpatient tower and cardiac catheterization lab.

The successful Proponent will enter into a single contract with Island Health and will be responsible for assembling, managing, coordinating, and integrating all subconsultants and specialist disciplines required to complete the Services. Island Health does not intend to retain the core planning and technical disciplines under separate contracts.

The assignment requires a team with demonstrated experience in health service and facility planning, acute care campus master planning, concept planning for major public capital projects, technical infrastructure assessment, option development, Class D cost estimating, and preparation of documents suitable for provincial review and decision-making.
