This Project is one of three long-term care projects that Island Health is advancing. The site is in the City of Campbell River at 375 Second Ave, Campbell River, BC. The specific site location is on the west side of the North Island Hospital Campbell River site and immediately west of Yucalta Lodge, an Island Health Complex Care Facility. The site is currently occupied by a temporary gravel parking lot and poses unique challenges including a history of previous land use and a restrictive covenant dictating geotechnical standards.
